Shea Hansen

Hansen, a Mesa, Arizona, native, played for the Blue and Gold volleyball team from 2008-2011.
During her time on the court for Pace, the volleyball team amassed a 72-49 record. Hansen
helped lead the Setters to three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances in 2009, 2010, and
2011.
 
Hansen made an immediate impact on the court for Pace, playing in 104 games as a freshman, and was fourth in the Northeast Ten (NE10) in assists with 928, which earned her All-Rookie honors. For her career, she earned NE10 First Team and Second Team honors and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-Region. She was also honored as part of the NE10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
 
Across her career with Pace, Hansen played in 433 games for the Blue and Gold, amassed 4,085
assists, 855 digs, 231 kills, 133 service aces, and 88 blocks. Her career assist total still ranks
second in the Pace career record books. All four of her single-season assist tallies rank in the
Top 15 at Pace, with her best being 1,198 in 2010, which ranked seventh in a single season and solidified her spot at 33rd in the nation for Division II assists.
 
Hansen was selected Team Captain for three consecutive years. She was named the Female Student Athlete of the Year as a junior and received the Darrell Halloran Memorial Award given to a senior student-athlete for excellence in athletic and scholastic achievement, leadership, and team spirit.
 
Off the court, Hansen was involved in several organizations across campus. She served as the Student Athlete Advisory Committee President for two years and the Pace University Marketing Association Vice President. Upon graduation, the Lubin School of Business honored her as the Marketing Student of the Year.
