Michael Bohlander played four seasons on the diamond for the Setters, accumulating career totals that placed him in many categories in the program record book. Bohlander recorded 192 hits in his four-year collegiate career, ranking 11th all-time in hits. He stands second all-time in Setters history with 43 home runs and 153 RBI, while his 42 career doubles is tied for the sixth most in program history.
Establishing himself as an offensive force at the plate during his freshman campaign, Bohlander's first year numbers still rank amongst the best performances by a rookie. He hit nine doubles and five home runs in 1999, both of which tie him for the sixth-best performance by a freshman, as well as ranking seventh in first-season RBI with 27. In 2001, Bohlander tied the single-season school record and ranked eighth in the country with 17 home runs. Â
Bohlander was selected as the NYS Baseball Conference Player of the Week during the 2001 season and was later named to the All-Conference First Team that same year. He was an ABCA All-Region Selection in 2001 and 2002, and was selected to the NCAA Division I Independents All-Star Team during his senior year. Bohlander was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 27th Round of the 2002 MLB Draft, and played two seasons in the White Sox Organization.
