Basketball captain in 1959-60 season... Pace Athlete of the Year in 1960... 22nd all-time in scoring with 1,160 points and graduated as the all-time leader in points... Also played baseball... Officer in United States Marine Corps for 23 years attaining rank of LT Colonel.... Led Marine Corps team to 8th Naval District Championship in 1967 and named MVP in another tournament... Flew 297 combat missions in Vietnam in 1967-68... Averaged 20 points per game to win gold medal in 2000 and bronze medal in 2001 at Arkansas State Invitational Senior Olympics... Averaged over 15 points per game in National Senior Olympics in 2001... Retired as captain and instructor from Delta Airline in October 1999.
