Jackie Burd was a four-year member of the Pace University softball team that compiled an impressive career resume at the plate and on the field. Burd played in 186 games, the second-highest career total in program history. She hit .335 over her four seasons with the Blue and Gold, ranking ninth all-time with 181 hits. Burd sits third all-time in program runs batted in with 115, fourth in doubles with 37, and ninth in career home runs with 14. More than just a power threat, Burd had a keen and patient eye at the dish, drawing a program-record 73 career walks. Her 101 runs scored also ranks eighth all-time in team history.
Burd had several standout single-season performances throughout her career at Pace. She had three seasons that ranked in the top-15 of single-season RBI totals, including her 42 RBI in 2003 that is the third highest single-year total. She hit 13 doubles in her senior year, tying her for the seventh-most in a year. Burd was an NFCA First Team All-Region selection in 2002, as well as a Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team selection in 2002 and 2003. The Setters reached the NE10 Championship Game in Burd's sophomore season in 2003.
