Mission Statement of the National SAACs
"The mission of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image."
 
Division II SAAC will be guided by the following principles: ethics, integrity, fairness and a respect for diversity and inclusion, which includes, but is not limited to, attention to gender, race, ethnicity and sport.
 
What is a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee? (SAAC) 
A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.
 
The Pace Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is organized for the purpose of enhancing the collegiate experience of Pace student-athletes by providing a forum of positive growth, development, and representation in the athletic community. SAAC members work to create strong lines of communication between student-athletes and Pace University staff and strengthen unity among student-athletes and members of the student body through education, awareness, and communication. 

Annually, one student-athlete from each athletic team are appointed to serve on the SAAC committee. Monthly meetings are held to discuss current campus issues and plan future education and campus events. 

SAAC provides educational, leadership, social and service opportunities that exemplify and exhibit the spirit and essence of Pace Athletics. All activities encompass this vision and help to further maximize human potential in the pursuit of comprehensive excellence.
