In his 19 years as head coach, Coach Calaicone amassed a record of 397-389-4 (.515)... Took the program from DII to DI status... Coach Calaicone has coached six All-Americans, two Academic All Americans, one Academic All-District, and 34 players who have gone on to play professionally... Led team to four Knickerbocker Conference regular season titles in 1981 (co-champs) 1983, 1984 and 1985... Also led team to a Knickerbocker Conference playoff title and NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 1985... Coach Calaicone was a former professional baseball player in the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs minor league systems... Also served in the New York City Fire Department from 1964 until his retirement in 1984.
