Libby Falconi King played for Pace from 1981 to 1985, becoming one of the program's top players in its formative years. Falconi King's 1,148 points remains the 17th most in program history, while her 958 rebounds and 218 steals are both 8th in the Pace record books.
It didn't take very long for Falconi King to become a valuable contributor for the Setters as she finished second on the team in both points (408) and rebounds (350) as a sophomore. She continued to improve into her junior season, where she averaged 10.7 points per game. Falconi King's 1984-85 season would be historic on both an individual and team level. Serving as a team co-captain, she became the fourth member of the program's 1,000-point club in a season in which she also led the team in rebounds (246) and steals (76). Falconi King was named to both the Empire State Conference and Hudson Valley All-Star Teams in 1984. Upon graduation, Falconi King ranked second all-time in points, rebounds, and steals.
The 1984-85 team went on the win the East Regional with a record of 28-3, which still remains the winningest season in program history. Falconi King and the Setters made Pace's first NCAA Tournament, with the 1984-85 team being honored as the Pace Hall of Fame's first Team of Distinction in 2014.
