WORCESTER, MA. – Pace University Swimming and Diving opened the 2026 Northeast 10 Conference Championships with a strong statement on Thursday evening, turning in a stellar first-day performance. Powered by an impressive relay finish and key distance points, the Setters closed the opening session fourth overall with 56 team points at the WPI Sports and Recreation Center.
Momentum began with the first swimming event of the night, as the 800 Freestyle Relay A team of Eugenia Morossi, Jordan Barbosa, Jean Donlevy, and Sophie Greko delivered a third-place bronze-medal finish, earning 36 points to give the Blue and Gold an early boost in the standings. The B relay followed with another scoring effort, adding eight more points to strengthen Pace's position through the opening race.
Caroline McKay added to the Setters' strong start in the distance events, placing seventh in the 1000 Freestyle to collect 12 points and help solidify the team's place near the top of the leaderboard.
Through the first evening of competition, the Setters sit fourth overall with 56 points and remain well-positioned to climb the standings as the championship meet continues. Pace returns to the pool tomorrow for Day Two of the Northeast 10 Championships, with preliminary heats beginning at 10:15 a.m., followed by finals at 5:30 p.m.
