STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – On Saturday afternoon, Pace University Women's Swimming and Diving extended its unbeaten start to the 2025-26 season with a dominant performance, sweeping a double-dual meet at the College of Staten Island (CSI). The Setters posted convincing wins over Hunter College (208-57) and CSI (155-120), improving to 4-0 in dual-meet competition.
Pace opened the day with a statement victory in the 200 Medley Relay, as
Eugenia Morossi,
Sydney Albers,
Kathryn Zhenilenko, and
Alexei Vinson clocked a winning time of 1:54.28.
Zhenilenko continued her impressive campaign, leading the way with three individual victories in the 1000 Free (11:39.31), 200 Fly (2:20.00), and 100 Fly (1:02.05).
Morossi added two more first-place finishes, taking the top spot in both the 200 Back (2:04.81) and 200 IM (2:14.89), while
Caroline McKay swept the sprint freestyle events by winning the 50 Free (25.42) and later helping the Setters clinch the meet in the 400 Free Relay (3:51.37).
Jeanie Donlevy contributed key depth with top-three performances in the 200 Free (2:04.93) and 100 Free (58.41).
Sophie Greko added a runner-up finish in the 200 IM (2:23.31) and closed out the meet strong as part of the winning 400 Free Relay, teaming with McKay, Donlevy, and
Jordan Barbosa.
On the diving boards,
Caroline Ranno delivered valuable points for the Blue and Gold, earning second place on the 1-meter board with a score of 214.85 before winning the 3-meter event with a 271.30 total.
With another complete team effort, the Setters remain perfect at 4-0 to begin the 2025-26 season.
Pace returns home and will be in action on Saturday, November 15, at 5:00 p.m. when the Setters host both Assumption University and Mount Saint Mary College at the Goldstein Fitness Center in Pleasantville, NY.
