WALTHAM, MA. – Sunday afternoon, Pace women's swimming and diving ended their season with a meet against Bentley University. On the road the Setters fell to the Falcons, 179-106, concluding the regular season with a 7-3 overall record.
In the first individual event of the evening,
Eugenia Morossi captured first place in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:12.18. Later on in the meet, Morossi continued her reign in the 200-yard backstroke event securing her final win of the regular season finishing in 2:09.98.
The remarkable freshman swimmer has remained undefeated in the 200-yard backstroke throughout the entire season.
Sophie Greko took home silver in a close battle during the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.59.
In the 50-yard Freestyle, the trio of
Jean Donlevy (26.07),
Katherine Kline (26.79), and
Jordan Barbosa (26.80) helped the Setters take second through fourth.
Donlevy performed admirably in the 500-yard freestyle finishing second with a time of 5:38.08 which marks a personal best in the event.
Caroline Ranno had an excellent showing on the diving board finishing second in the 1M (203.48) and 3M (207.75) events.
With the regular season over, women's swimming and diving now prepares for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, which begin Feb. 13.
