PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – On Saturday night at the Goldstein Fitness Center, Pace women's swimming and diving took on Assumption University and Felician University. In the dual meet, Pace defeated Assumption, 94-75.5, and fell to Felician, 108.5-94.
The Setters started the night strong with a win in the 400-yard medley relay with the team of
Eugenia Morossi,
Sophie Greko,
Aryana Twist, and
Jean Donlevy. The tandem recorded the fastest time in the conference so far this season finishing in 4:04:62.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Morossi took first posting a new conference top time this season of 58.50.
Sage Evans followed closely behind taking fourth with a time of 1:04:49.
Overall, Morossi swept the backstroke events taking both the 100 and the 200-yard Backstroke (2:03.90).
After taking third in the 200-yard Butterfly, Twist triumphed in the 100-yard Butterfly with a new personal-best time of 1:00.51.
In the women's 400-yard individual medley, Greko came back from behind to take the event in a time of 4:44.09.
For the diving team,
Caroline Ranno took first place in the 1M and 3M diving events registering a score of 220.05 in the 1M and 193.65 in the 3M.
Following Saturday's action in the pool, the Setters improve to 5-1 overall.
Next up for the Blue and Gold is an away meet on Dec. 6 at 4:00 p.m. against Southern Connecticut State University.
