Dan Lewis of Men's Lacrosse Named First-Team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – After completing one of the best seasons in program history, Daniel Lewis (Bohemia, N.Y./Connetquot) of the Pace University men's lacrosse team has been selected as a First-Team All-America by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

Lewis, who was also selected as the NE10's Defensive Player of the Year, put together a sensational 2021 campaign. The Long Island native ranked second in the country in caused turnovers (36), while also leading the Setters in ground balls with 37.

Lewis recorded at least one caused turnover in each game, including a career-high eight against top-ranked Le Moyne. Following the season opener, Lewis collected ground balls in each contest as well with a season-high seven against seventh-ranked Adelphi. He also recorded a pair of goals this season. Following his standout performance against the Dolphins, Lewis was selected to the USILA National Team of the Week.

Lewis' career features him appearing in 60 of Pace's 62 games over the last five seasons. He wraps up his illustrious tenure with 128 caused turnovers, 182 ground balls, four goals, and two assists.
