Men’s Lacrosse Uses Fast Start to Cruise Past AIC

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – On Wednesday afternoon, No. 5 Pace University Men's Lacrosse delivered a commanding performance, defeating American International College (AIC) , 21–4, at Northwell Stadium. The Blue and Gold controlled the game from the opening minutes and never looked back, improving to 9–1 overall and 4–0 in the Northeast 10 Conference (NE10).

Pace set the tone immediately in the first quarter, overwhelming AIC with possession and shot volume. Will Danowski opened the scoring before Cody McClean followed with a goal to make it 2–0. Danowski struck again off a feed from Matt Baldino, and Zach Goetze capped the opening run as the Blue and Gold built a 4–0 lead after one.

The Blue and Gold continued to surge in the second quarter, breaking the game open with a dominant stretch. Osei Adoma and Baldino extended the lead before Trevor Lamoureux and Baldino added back-to-back goals to push the margin to 8–0. After AIC got on the board, Baldino responded once again, and Declan Landers converted a man-up opportunity to give Pace a commanding 10–1 lead at halftime.

Pace carried that momentum into the third quarter, continuing to build separation. Colin Reese scored early before Caiden Myers and Danowski added goals to extend the lead to 13–1. Shae Linegar, Ian Wick, and Jake Cenci each found the back of the net as the Blue and Gold pushed the advantage to 16–1 heading into the fourth.

In the final quarter, Pace remained in control, adding five more goals. Alexandre Lafleche, Myers, and Elian Bernal each scored as the Blue and Gold continued to dominate. AIC added a few late goals, but Pace closed out the 21–4 victory with a goal from Linegar in the final seconds.

Baldino led the offense with six points (3 goals, 3 assists), while Danowski added four points (3 goals, 1 assist). Myers (2 goals, 2 assists) and Reese (1 goal, 3 assists) each contributed four points, and Linegar finished with three points.
