NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – Following a dominant defensive performance on the road, Pace University Men's Lacrosse senior defender
Chris Butler has been named the Northeast 10 (NE10) Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced Monday afternoon.
Butler played a central role in the Setters' 6–5 victory at Saint Michael's, delivering a standout performance on the defensive end. The senior recorded eight ground balls and a career-best six caused turnovers, consistently disrupting possessions and limiting scoring opportunities throughout the contest.
In addition to his defensive impact, Butler added a shot on goal while helping Pace control the tempo in a tightly contested match-up. His efforts were instrumental in holding Saint Michael's to just five goals, as the Blue and Gold secured the one-goal victory.
Butler's performance helped extend the Setters' winning streak to eight consecutive games following their season-opening loss, as the Setters will look to carry that momentum into their next match-up on Wednesday against American International College.
