PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Leading up to the 2018 Pace Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony set for April 26 at the
Willow Ridge Country Club, members of the
newest class sat down for an interview with Pace Assistant Athletics Director
Jim Sheehan. Today features the 1999 Pace Men's Lacrosse Team, which is being inducted into the Hall of Fame as a Team of Distinction. Joe Vuotto, one of four individual Hall of Famers on that squad, joined today's podcast.

The 411 on the 1999 Men's Lacrosse Team
- Coached by
Dan Mulholland, who is also
being inducted into the Pace Hall of Fame this year
- Holds school records for wins in a season (14), consecutive wins (11), and fewest goals allowed (94)
- Won the Northeast-10 Conference regular season and tournament championships
- Ranked No. 1 in the nation for a majority of the season, ultimately ending the year slotted No. 3 in the country
- Picked up the first win in program history over a top-five ranked opponent, defeating No. 3 NYIT, 20-10, on March 17
- Pace's all-time leading scorer Andrew Wasik set career highs in his sophomore season in 1999, setting the program record for most goals (72) and points (101) in a season, as well as tying the team record for most goals in a game with 11 against Saint Anselm in the NE10 Tournament
- The team featured four future Pace Athletics Hall of Famers: Wasik, Vuotto, Marcus Mayus, and Luke Hirten
