Drew Brown was named Director of Athletic Development and Strategic Partnerships at Pace University in November of 2023. He returns to Pace with nearly three decades of experience in college athletics and is responsible for athletic alumni engagement, driving growth of annual giving and major gifts, special events, and revenue generation through corporate partnerships, merchandise sales, and licensing.

He served as Director of Athletics, Recreation and Physical Education at Mount Saint Mary College since the summer of 2021. Brown helped the Knights secure a grant of more than $2 million to help renovate the Elaine and William Kaplan Recreation Center. During his tenure at Mount Saint Mary he led several efforts to enhance athletics facilities, expanded the Knights' roster of programs, including the additions of Women's Golf, Junior Varsity Baseball, and Esports, and the department saw record-setting success during its annual fundraising campaign for athletics.

This is Brown's third stint in Pleasantville. He previously served as Associate Athletic Director of External Affairs at Pace from 2015-2021 where he oversaw the Setters' annual fundraising efforts, special events, sponsorships, community relations and branding. Brown also oversaw the Communications Staff and served as the sport supervisor for Baseball, Cross Country and the Setters' spirit squads.

Prior to his return to Pleasantville in 2015, Brown served as the Vice President for External Affairs at the ECAC Office from 2013-15 and then as the Senior Vice President/Chief of Staff until June 2015 when he made his return to the staff at Pace.

In his first tour at Pace, Brown served as the Director of Athletic Development. He directed activities related to the promotion and advancement of funding initiatives for Athletics. He was responsible for establishing sport-specific alumni networks to build support for the Athletics Master Plan, including facility upgrades. Brown played an integral role in the success and growth of special events, including the Athletics Golf Classic and Athletics Hall of Fame, while enhancing the visibility of the Setters Club.

Brown also has administration experience at Mercy College where he served as an Assistant/Associate Athletic Director and the Director of Alumni Relations, Fairleigh Dickinson University (Teaneck) where he was the Director of Athletic Communications from 2001-05, Fairfield University where he worked in the sports information office from 1995-2000 and Saint Peter's University as a graduate assistant in the sports information office.Â

Brown graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Saint Peter's in 1995 where he was a captain of the baseball team, earned his Master of Science in Education from Mercy in 2011 and is currently a candidate for a PhD. in Sports Administration Leadership.

Brown and his wife Paula reside in Yorktown Heights and have two children, Katelyn and John.
