NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – A record-setting start to the season earned Pace University women's swimming and diving standout Eugenia "Gigi" Morossi NE10 Swimmer of the Week honors. Morossi competed in six events at the Dolphin Kick Off Invite, helping the Setters finish second among four teams with 135 points.
Her top performance came in the 200-yard backstroke, where she touched first in 2:01.06. The swim broke the pool record and met the NCAA Division II B qualifying standard. Morossi also finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.47 and took third in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:58.76.
She contributed to three relay efforts as well, helping Pace place second in both the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay while also competing in the 400-yard medley relay.
The honor gives Morossi her first NE10 Swimmer of the Week selection of the 2026-27 season after opening the year with an NCAA qualifying mark.
Pace returns to the pool Friday, Oct. 16, when the Setters host Adelphi University at 4:00 p.m. inside Goldstein Fitness Center.
