WORCESTER, MA. – Thursday evening, the Pace men's and women's swimming and diving teams began the Northeast-10 Conference Championship in Worcester, MA. Both squads produced solid starts to the playoffs in the pool with the men's squad claiming 7
th and the women's team taking 8th after day one.
In the men's 800 freestyle
Michael Ferstler,
Michael Brace,
Santiago Domenech, and
Talis Veidis, finished seventh overall to help earn key points on the opening night.
Also on the men's squad,
Cody Villanueva and
Patrick Purcell both placed in the top 20 in the men's 1000.
On the women's side, the 1000-yard freestyle highlighted the opening day with
Paulina Pereira,
Ann Punnoose, and
Nataly Ramos-Jorqueda claiming top 25 finishes.
