PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University Men's Swimming and Diving closed out its regular-season dual-meet schedule on Saturday, delivering several standout performances before falling to Bentley University by a final score of 187–98 on Senior Day. Despite the team result at the Goldstein Fitness Center pool, the Setters highlighted their regular-season finale with relay success, dominant breaststroke swims, and strong individual efforts across multiple events.
Pace opened the meet with one of its biggest highlights of the day, capturing first place in the 200 Medley Relay. The A-relay of Javier Cisternas Gomez,
Melo Meir,
Santiago Domenech, and
Morgon Washington-Patterson touched first in 1:39.05, giving the Setters an early lift and setting a competitive tone.
Meir continued his impressive season with a sweep of the breaststroke events, winning the 100 Breast in 1:00.85 and the 200 Breast in 2:16.23. He also added a second-place finish in the 200 IM, establishing himself as one of Pace's most consistent high-point scorers of the meet.
Cisternas Gomez delivered a strong all-around performance, earning first place in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.57. He also contributed with a second-place finish in the 200 Back (1:58.09) and a third-place showing in the 100 Back (55.07), scoring across multiple high-value events.
In the sprint freestyle races, Washington-Patterson provided key points with runner-up finishes in both the 50 Free (22.32) and 100 Free (49.00), keeping Pace competitive in the speed events.
The distance group added important production late in the meet, led by
Matthew McCaffrey, who placed second in the 500 Free (5:05.13) and third in the 1650 Free (18:03.73) with steady, disciplined swims.
Pace closed the meet with solid relay execution in the 400 Free Relay, as the A-relay clocked a time of 3:34.93 to finish the competition on a strong note.
With the regular season now complete, the Setters will shift their focus to postseason competition, preparing for the Northeast 10 Conference Championship, scheduled for February 12

th in Worcester, MA.
