WORCESTER, MA - On Sunday, Pace University Men's Swimming and Diving concluded the 2026 NE10 NE10 Conference Championships with several top-eight individual finishes and a solid relay performance on the final day of competition. The Setters demonstrated consistency across multiple events, highlighted by strong championship final appearances and a competitive relay effort to close out the meet at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Freshman Javier Cisternas-Gomez delivered one of Pace's top performances of the night, finishing fifth in the 200 backstroke. Melo Meir added another strong result, placing seventh in the 200 breaststroke.
In sprint competition, freshman Jordyn Cristoff-Gonzalez finished 14th in the 100 freestyle. Distance swimmer Matthew McCaffrey placed 11th in the 1650 freestyle, while teammates Patrick Purcell and Cody Villanueva finished 19th and 20th, respectively.
The Setters concluded the meet in the 400 freestyle relay, where the A relay team of Cisternas Gomez, Meir, Cayden Breeden, and Cristoff-Gonzalez placed sixth overall.
As a team, the Setters finished 7th overall at the 2026 NE10 Championships.
