Field Hockey Returns Home for Pair of Matches

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University field hockey team will spend the week at home, hosting Mercy University on Wednesday and Saint Michael's College on Saturday.

Both matches will be played at Peter X. Finnerty Field at 4 p.m.

Pace is coming off a 1-1 week which saw them come from behind to defeat St. Thomas Aquinas College, 4-3, in overtime before falling 1-0 at the hands of Assumption.

Krista Dietz has been spectacular thus far for the Setters, amassing nine goals and six assists for 24 point this season. Her 2.40 points pr game is fifth in the country.

Mercy will arrive in Pleasantville with a record of 3-6 and in the midst of a four-game losing skid. Rachel Palladino has provided strong offensive production for the Mavericks thus far, scoring seven goals while four other Mustangs' have scored three.

Saint Michael's will make the trip from Colchester after facing off with Bentley University on Wednesday. They own a record of 2-7 to open the week but earned a quality win over Southern New Hampshire University last week, 2-1. Bridgie Loughlin is leading the way offensively thus far with six goals and four assists for the Purple Knights.
