COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced today that Pace University seniors
Kyleigh Kearney and
Molly Paterson have been selected to the 2025 NFHCA Division II Senior Team, recognizing the Blue and Gold standouts for their outstanding careers and season-long impact during the Setters 2025 campaign.
Kearney delivered the strongest offensive season of her career in 2025, emerging as one of Pace's most productive and dynamic midfielders. She finished the year with nine goals, five assists, and 23 points, all career-best marks, while appearing in every match for the Setters.
Her scoring stretch included a four-goal performance against St. Thomas Aquinas, multi-point efforts versus Mercy, American International, and Franklin Pierce, and at least one point in nine different contests.
Paterson once again anchored the Setters' defensive unit, starting all 19 matches and serving as the team's most experienced and steadying presence in the backfield. She played 60 minutes in nearly every contest, surpassing 70 minutes in the win over Mercy and continuing to serve as the cornerstone of Pace's defensive structure.
Paterson added offensive contributions with a goal against Roberts Wesleyan and an assist at Franklin Pierce, while her ability to disrupt plays, control the circle, and organize the back line remained central to the Setters' identity.
The NFHCA Senior Team recognizes graduating student-athletes who have made a lasting contribution to their programs through leadership, competitiveness, and year-to-year development. The honor is reserved for seniors who have excelled throughout their collegiate careers and elevated their teams.
Both Kearney and Paterson will receive a commemorative engraved Senior Team award provided in partnership with longtime coach and donor Karren Mann.
