PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University women's swim team finished in second place in a tri-meet with Felician University and Adelphi University while the men's team fell in a dual meet to Adelphi.
Sophie Greko took home first by over 20 seconds in the 1000 yd freestyle with a time of 11:08.43. Jacki Ambrose finished third in the same event with a time of 11:36.76. Grecko also won the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:51.12.
On the men's side of the 1000-yard freestyle, Tyler Besnof finished in third, finishing in 10:58.17.
Jenna Pearse and
Michael Savchuk each finished second in their respective 200-yard freestyles with times of 2:01.52 and 1:50.69. Pearse won the 500-yard freestyle as well, winning by just over 10 seconds with a time of 5:28.02.
Alaire Thomas and
Paulina Pereira finished in second and third place in the 50-yard backstroke, finishing in 31:74 and 31.78.
Chaz Johnson and
Taiis Sanchez-Messado each took second in the 50 yard-backstroke with times of 27.38 and 33.58. Johnson also finished in second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.31.
Alaire Thomas won the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 28.61.
