Pace's Swimming and Diving Teams Both Finish Sixth at NE10 Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Pace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed the 2022 NE10 Championships on Sunday. Both Setter squads posted sixth-place finishes following the four-day event, combining for a total of 580 points.

In addition to the terrific efforts in the pool, Pace's Joshua Comia (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph by-the-Sea) earned the NE10's Elite 24 Award on Sunday for the highest men's GPA across the entire conference. The Setter men have now won the award in four consecutive years.

Women's Recap (336 points, 6th place)
The final night of the NE10 Championships marked the final race(s) in the illustrious career of graduate student, Annabel Keppel-Palmer (Kent, England/Maidstone Grammar School). The England native capped off her sensational Setter tenure with a fifth-place finish in the 200-back (2:08.16).

Keppel-Palmer entered the meet as the three-time defending champion in the 200-back. She wraps up her career with 14 career medals, including four individual NE10 championships.

Sophomore Rose Clark (Acworth, Ga./Harrison) wrapped up a great meet of her own on Sunday with a seventh-place finish in the 200-breast. She raced to a time of 2:30.55.

Pace also received scoring efforts from both Taiis Sanchez-Messado (Ossining, N.Y./Saint Vincent Ferter) and Daniela Lusuriello (Montgomery, N.Y./Valley Central) in the weekend's finale.

Sanchez-Messado finished 16th in the 200-breast (2:39.32), while Lusuriello tallied a 14th-place time in the 100-free (55.80).
