NORFOLK, Va. – Freshman
Andresious Cyprianos (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe/Christian Brothers College) and sophomore
Madison Kiefer (Wayland, MA/Wayland High School) of the Pace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams were both named 2015-16 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Honorable Mentions, as announced by the CSCAA on Tuesday. The Pace men's and women's swimming and diving teams were both selected as CSCAA Scholar All-America teams for fall 2015 and spring 2016.
To earn All-America Honorable Mention status, student-athletes must have achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet.
Cyprianos qualified as an All-American by earning a 3.87 cumulative GPA after the spring 2016 semester in his chosen major of mathematics. He earned a "B" time standard at the 2016 Northeast-10 Conference Championships by clocking in at 49.61 in the 100-yard butterfly, earning him a silver medal at the competition. He was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the fall 2015 semester.
Kiefer was also selected to the Northeast-10 Winter 2015-16 Academic All-Conference Team and is a three-time NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll member. She has earned a 3.69 cumulative GPA through the spring semester. She earned a "B" time standard in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the 2016 NE-10 Conference Championships, earning a silver medal and setting a new program record in the event as well.
