Box Score Pleasantville, NY- The Pace University Lacrosse team won a Northeast-10 Conference contest this afternoon 9-7 over Franklin Pierce University. The Setters improve to 4-2 and 1-1 in the NE-10, while the Ravens fall to 2-3 and 0-2 in conference play.
The Setters got things going early offensively scoring seven goals in the first half alone, outscoring the Ravens 7-2 at the halfway point. However, the second half was a bit different for the Setters. Franklin Pierce would stage somewhat of a comeback scoring three unanswered goals to cut Pace's lead to7-5. Fortunately for Pace, they were able to score two more goals to seal the deal winning by an eventual score of 9-7.
Thomas Earl (North Babylon, NY/St. Anthony's) (North Babylon, NY/St. Anthony's) scored two goals for the Setters in the win as did John Kolesar (Warwick, NY/Warwick) (Warwick, NY/Warwick), and Kevin Kadlick (Boston, MA/Catholic Memorial) (Boston, MA/Catholic Memorial). Kevin Grady (Medford, NY/Bellport) (Medford, NY/Bellport) played the full 60 minutes in net accumulating 11 saves for the day.
For Franklin Pierce, Edward Noonan scored three goals, Eric Harries scored two, and Ryan Dintaman scored two as well despite the loss.
The Setters return to action on Wednesday, March 30th when Pace will square off against Le Moyne College in Pleasantville, NY at 3:30 pm for another Northeast-10 Conference showdown.
