NEW YORK, N.Y. – Pace University Esports officially launched its 2026 fall campaign this past week, with 20 teams beginning competition across the NECC preseason and ECAC regular season.
The opening week featured Setters competing across seven titles: VALORANT, League of Legends, Overwatch, Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League, Street Fighter 6 and Counter-Strike 2. Fourteen Pace teams took part in NECC preseason placement tournaments, while six began their ECAC regular-season schedules.
VALORANT Gold picked up where it left off following its debut on the national stage last spring. Competing in ECAC Division A, the Setters opened the fall with a convincing 2-0 victory over the University of Delaware.
Overwatch Gold also wasted little time making an early statement in Division A. Pace swept Louisiana Tech, 3-0, to begin its ECAC campaign on a strong note.
Freshman Kwai Diana delivered another highlight during his ECAC Street Fighter 6 debut. Diana earned a decisive 4-0 victory over Keiser University Lakeland in his first collegiate SF6 competition.
Diana will compete across two titles for the Setters this fall. In addition to representing Pace in Street Fighter 6, he is a top laner for the League of Legends Academy team as he begins his first season with the program.
With the opening week complete, Pace Esports now turns its attention toward the continuation of the ECAC regular season and the conclusion of NECC preseason placement competition as the Setters' 20 teams begin settling into the 2026 fall campaign.
