SAN ANTONIO, TX. – Pace Esports opened competition at the FORGE Scholastic Esports Championship with strong performances across VALORANT and Rainbow Six: Siege, taking on some of the top collegiate programs in the country during round robin play.

Pace VALORANT Gold set the tone in its opening match against Northwood University, the #3-ranked collegiate VALORANT team in the nation. After dropping the first map, 13-9, the Setters responded with a strong 13-9 victory on map two to even the series. Pace pushed Northwood deep into the deciding map before falling 13-10, closing out one of the tightest match-ups of the day.

The Blue and Gold bounced back in their second round robin match, delivering a dominant 2-0 series win over Keiser University. Pace controlled the matchup throughout and used the victory to build momentum heading deeper into championship play.

Pace Rainbow Six: Siege also battled through a challenging opening day against elite national competition. The Setters took a map off Fisher College, the second-ranked collegiate Rainbow Six: Siege team in the country, showing their ability to compete with one of the strongest teams in the field.

Against the University of Akron, the top-ranked collegiate Rainbow Six: Siege program in the nation, Pace pushed the opening map to a narrow 7-5 finish before ultimately falling in the series, 2-0. Despite the result, the Setters continued to compete at a high level against the best programs in the country.
