Men’s Lacrosse Draws #4 Seed, Setters to Open NCAA Championship at Home Against Seton Hill

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – The road through the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship will begin in Pleasantville, N.Y., for Pace University Men's Lacrosse, as the Setters were selected as the #4 seed in the North Region during Sunday night's NCAA selection show.

Pace enters the national tournament at 12-5 overall and will host #5 Seton Hill University in first-round action at Northwell Stadium. The selection gives the Blue and Gold another opportunity to compete on the national stage after reaching the Northeast 10 Conference Championship game and putting together one of the strongest postseason pushes in the region.

The Setters will see a familiar opponent in their NCAA opener. Pace and Seton Hill met at Northwell Stadium earlier this spring, with the Blue and Gold earning a 12-10 victory over the Griffins on March 21st. The rematch now carries national tournament stakes, with the winner advancing to the NCAA quarterfinal round.

Pace is one of four host teams in the North Region, joining #1 Adelphi University, #2 Saint Anselm College, and #3 Molloy University. The winner between Pace and Seton Hill will move on to face the winner of Adelphi and Wilmington in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, May 13.

The Setters enter the NCAA Championship with production throughout its lineup and several players who earned All-NE10 recognition following the regular season. Matt Baldino and Will Danowski have powered the attack, while Colin Reese has helped guide the midfield. Trevor Lamoureux and Osei Adoma have given the Setters important play in transition and between the lines, and Chris Butler and Brian Brennan have helped lead the defensive unit.

Pace also brings momentum from its run through the NE10 Championship, where the Setters advanced to the final after postseason wins over Bentley University and Saint Anselm College. That stretch helped Pace strengthen its national profile and secure the right to host in the opening weekend.

The 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship is an 18-team, single-elimination tournament. Opening-round games are set for Wednesday, May 6, before first-round play begins Sunday, May 10. The quarterfinals will follow on Wednesday, May 13, with the semifinals scheduled for Sunday, May 17, and the national championship set for Sunday, May 24, at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA.

The Setters will host #5 Seton Hill in the first round of the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship on Sunday, May 10, at Northwell Stadium with the opening face-off set for 1:00p.m.
