Marcus Mayus ’00 Announced as Newest Member of NE10 Hall of Fame Class of 2025

PLEASANTVILLE, NY (June 5, 2025) - The Northeast 10 (NE10) Conference held its annual banquet Tuesday evening, where it announced its upcoming Hall of Fame Class. Former men's lacrosse player and 2012 Pace Athletics Hall of Fame Inductee, Dr. Marcus Mayus '00, will be the newest member to represent Pace in the NE10's 2025 Hall of Fame Class.

The Class of 2025 consists of nine different institutions, which includes five former NE10 members, and nine different sports. It consists of seven former student-athletes, two teams, and one coach - with one institution represented by multiple inductees.

Mayus graduated from Pace University back in 2000 and participated on the Men's Lacrosse team from 1996-99 under legendary head coach, Dan Mulholland. From the start, he was a key contributor to the Setters' success, earning Knickerbocker All-Conference honors as a freshman. By his senior year in 1999, he had been named NE10 Player of the Year, ECAC Player of the Year, and USILA Midfielder of the Year.

The two-time USILA All-American was a member of the 1999 NE10 Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championship team, which won every conference game by a margin of seven or more goals.

Started in 2006, the NE10 Hall of Fame honors those who have made significant contributions to the Conference, while preserving and promoting the history of the league since its inception in 1980. As of 2025, the Hall has 153 individuals and 29 teams that have been inducted.

"The NE10 Hall of Fame Class of 2025 is a special collection of individuals and teams that achieved at the highest levels and proudly represented the conference during their tenures," said NE10 Commissioner Julie Ruppert. "This Class consists of seven outstanding student-athletes, two national championship-winning programs, and one coach. We could not be more excited to celebrate these 10 inductees for their incredible accomplishments – which now include the NE10 Hall of Fame, an accolade that is reserved for the best of the best from amongst the tens of thousands that have worn uniforms in our impressive history. Thank you to the members of this Class for their hard work and commitment. Congratulations!"
