MANSFIELD, MA. – For the first time this season and in his Setter career, Vincent Civitella of the Pace University baseball team has earned Northeast 10 Pitcher of the Week honors, conference officials announced on Monday.

Civitella was stellar in the Blue and Gold's rubber game in their weekend series against The College of Saint Rose, twirling a complete game shutout in 106 pitches to lead Pace to a 4-0 win, and a 2-1 series win.

He scattered six base runners on five hits and a lone free pass while returning seven Golden Knights to the dugout via strikeout while inducing seven ground outs and 10 fly outs. The junior earned his sixth win with the performance.

On the year, Civitella sports a 6-3 record with an ERA of 2.98 and WHIP of 1.20 over 10 starts. He has rung up 51 batters while hitters are batting .199 against him over 54.1 innings pitched.

The Setters return to action tomorrow for a midweek meeting with Felician University at Peter X. Finnerty Field at 3 p.m.
