MANSFIELD, MA . – Five Pace University student-athletes from the winter programs earned Northeast 10 Academic All-Conference honors.
From the women's basketball team,
Arianna Stockinger and
Ciara Collins received the nod. On the men's team,
Bryan Powell earned a spot and from the swim and dive programs,
Sean Rorke and
Isabella Reyes earned spots.
Powell adds another postseason honor to his list from this season. A graduate student from Middletown, N.Y., finished the season as Pace's leading scorer and rebounder, pouring in an impressive 18.5 points per game to go along with 5.2 boards a game in 34 minutes a game. He posted an impressive 40 points against Franklin Pierce University in a 93-80 win at Goldstein Fitness Center while adding nine rebounds and four assists in the contest. Powell crossed the double-figure mark in all but two contests and posted 20 points in nine separate affairs.
Stockinger, who was a third-team all-conference selection this season, finished the season averaging double figures, with 10.3 points per game which is tied for second on the team with Collins. Earning three honor roll placements, Stockinger provided 15 double-figure scoring efforts including a season-high 23 points on 9-13 shooting from the field against Saint Michael's.
Collins stepped into a starting role this season, starting 29 of 30 games for the Blue and Gold. In those games, the sophomore emerged as a consistent source of offense for Pace while shooting 39.7 percent from the field. She crossed the 20 threshold with 25 points against Southern New Hampshire in February. She scored 18 points on three different occasions.
Rorke repeated as the Northeast 10 Diver of the Meet at the Northeast 10 Championships back in February where he capped off another strong season on the diving boards, winning both the 1m and 3m boards at the conference championships as well as taking first at multiple dual meets this season. Rorke qualified for the NCAA Qualification meet for the second year in a row.
Reyes also made her way to the podium at this year's NE10 Championships, taking the silver medal in both the 1m and 3m board in addition to, alongside Rorke, taking home first in multiple dual meets while also joining Rorke at the NCAA Qualifying Meet.
