PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Not too long after being named as one of the top pitchers in the region, Pace University pitcher
Patrick Gleason can now count himself among the best pitchers in all the land as he was named as a National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Third Team All-American.
The Valhalla, N.Y. native is coming off an all-american season last season in which he posted a sub-two ERA of 1.81 to go along with an 8-2 record and 69 strikeouts. He hurled an impressive four complete games for the Blue and Gold.
Gleason is the only the only representative of the Northeast 10 to earn a spot on the preseason All-American list.
Gleason, alongside the rest of the Setters, will take to the diamond for the first time in the 2024 season on Mar. 1 when they travel down to the USA Baseball Training Complex for a doubleheader with Slippery Rock University, with game one set for 10 a.m. in Cary, N.C.
