As we get set for the 2020-21 school year, we would like to revisit some of the major team and individual records that have been broken in recent seasons.
Following back-to-back Northeast-10 Conference Championship appearances in 2015 and 2016, the Setters took it a step further in 2017, earning their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth.

Posting a 12-4 overall record and 9-2 in conference play, the Blue and Gold finished the year with their highest victory total since winning 14 games in 1999. The Setters dominated on their home turf, losing just one of their nine contests at Pace Stadium. The Blue and Gold closed out the regular season by winning six straight and carrying that momentum into the Conference championships where they knocked off fifth-seeded, Saint Anselm, in overtime.
The Setters then took on top-seeded Adelphi in the semifinals, but unfortunately, that was as far as they would go. Pace then qualified for the NCAA Tournament, and was given a rematch with the once again top-seeded Panthers of Adelphi. The Setters and Panthers battled in a classic matchup in the pouring rain, but the hosts came out on top in another thriller despite an incredible performance by Pace in the national spotlight, 10-9.
Head Coach
Tom Mariano made his fourth season on the sidelines a memorable one as he was selected as the NE10 Co-Coach of the Year. Mariano's squad finished 2017 as the fifth-ranked team in the country according to the final USILA Coaches Poll of the season.

While senior Brandon Donnellan served as the defensive hammer with 30 caused turnovers that spring, Pace called upon a strong group of underclassman for its offensive efforts. Junior and Offensive MVP, Liam Brennan, led the team with 64 points and finished the season as the second leading goal-scorer (33) behind fellow classmate Joshua Kreitler who netted 38 goals on the year.

Brennan went on to be named a USILA Division II All-American, as well as an ECAC All-Star and NE10 All-Conference First-Team selection. He currently ranks No. 2 in program history in both career points with 220 and career assists with 107.

Other notable contributors included sophomore
Bradley Paterson (Caldwell, N.J./Depaul Catholic) who tied Brennan with 31 assists and finished second on the team in points with 59 that season. Paterson holds the No. 5 spot in the program record book with 200 career points and ranks third all-time in assists with 107.

Freshman
Daniel Lewis (Bohemia, N.Y./Connetquot) made his mark as a rookie in 2017, ranking second on the team in caused turnovers with 21 and earning a spot on the NE10 All-Conference Second Team.Â
