PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – With just five days left until their season opener, the Pace University men's lacrosse team has been ranked No. 15 in the most recent USILA National Coaches Poll. The Setters, who were slotted 18^th in the preseason rankings, have moved up in each of the first two polls of the regular season.

Pace is set to begin the 2019 campaign on Saturday, hosting Dominican College at 1 p.m. The Setters have begun the season at home across the last four years, winning the last three.

The Blue and Gold are coming off a 7-7 season in 2018 that saw them place sixth in the NE10 standings. Pace made their fourth-consecutive NE10 Conference tournament before falling to Adelphi in the tournament's first round.

Pace brings a terrific amount of experience into the New Year, including a roster of 13 seniors and nine juniors. The 2019 squad also features five double-figure point scorers from a year ago, including senior Bradley Paterson (Caldwell, NJ/Depaul Catholic) who is coming off a 43-point junior season.

The Setters also have a pair of All-Conference selections returning to the team, as Spencer DeRosa (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) and Timothy January (Peabody, MA/Peabody Veterans Memorial) will figure to be vital contributors to the Blue and Gold defense once again.

Pace's new schedule will commence with four non-conference contests before 11-straight games against NE10 foes.
