PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – A few days after earning All-Region honors from the D2CCA and the NCBWA, junior Dan Wirchansky (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland/RCC) of the Pace University baseball team has earned the same recognition from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings. Wirchansky was selected to the All-East First Team following his impressive 2018 campaign.

Wirchansky was dominant on the mound this season, pitching to a 5-1 record with a conference-leading 0.71 ERA. The junior lefty tossed eight innings or more in each of his six starts, recording 63 strikeouts while allowing just four earned runs. Wirchansky began the season in historic fashion, tossing a perfect game against Dominican on March 4, striking out 16. He ended the regular season with a 12.6 K/BB ratio. He was a two-time recipient of both the NE10 and ECAC Pitcher of the Week honors. Additionally, he took home one NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week and East Region Pitcher of the Week award.

Wirchansky has now secured three All-Region honors, as well as a NE10 All-Conference First Team selection.
