PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Fresh off completing one of the most dominant pitching stretches in recent memory, junior Dan Wirchansky (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland/RCC) of the Pace University baseball team has been selected to both the D2CCA and NCBWA All-Region Teams. He received first-team honors from the D2CCA and second-team recognition from the NCBWA.

Wirchansky was untouchable on the bump this season, putting together a 5-1 record with a conference-leading 0.71 ERA. The junior lefty tossed eight innings or more in each of his six starts, registering 63 strikeouts while allowing just four earned runs. Wirchansky began the season in historic fashion, tossing a perfect game against Dominican on March 4, striking out 16. He ended the regular season with a 12.6 K/BB ratio. He was a two-time recipient of both the NE10 and ECAC Pitcher of the Week honors. Additionally, he took home one NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week and East Region Pitcher of the Week award.
