PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Tomas Rodriguez (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown / UMBC) of the Pace University men's lacrosse team has been named to the Puerto Rico Lacrosse National Team roster for the 2018 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships.

Rodriguez, a defenseman in his junior year, joins the Setters ahead of the 2018 season after starting his collegiate career at UMBC. Rodriguez made 27 appearances on the Retrievers' backline over his two seasons, collecting two assists.

After being initially selected as one of 40 players to receive an invite to a tryout this past fall, Rodriguez was named to the Puerto Rico team roster that was released last week. The 2018 FIL Men's World Championships will be held in Netanya, Israel from July 12-21, and will feature 50 participating countries.
