NEW HAVEN, CT- The Pace University baseball team fell to the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University 6-3 this afternoon in the Setters' Northeast-10 Conference opener for the 2010 season. Southern Connecticut would strike first with a four run rally in the bottom of the third inning. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Owls would expand their lead with two more runs to give themselves a 6-0 lead.

From here the Setters played catch up, and would finally get on the scoreboard in the sixth inning. With the bases still juiced, senior Mike Torello (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) would fly out to center scoring Robert Horn (Stamford, CT/Westhill) (Stamford, CT/Westhill) from third on the tag up to make the score 6-2.
