PLEASANTVILLE, NY- Michael Sciarretta (Stamford, CT/Stamford) (Stamford, CT/Stamford) tossed 6 1/3 innings, allowing four hits, leading the Setters to a 5-2 win over the Chargers of the University of New Haven. The Chargers would add a run in the seventh, but reliever Eric Brown (Norwalk, CT/Norwalk) (Norwalk, CT/Norwalk) would retire the two batters he faced in the inning to close the door on New Haven. The Setters would add an insurance run in the eighth as pinch hitter Andre Liscinsky (Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) (Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) led off with a single. He moved to third base on back-to-back sacrifice bunts. JJ Conrad (Hamburg, NJ/Wallkill Valley) (Hamburg, NJ/Wallkill Valley) lined a single to right to drive in Liscinsky. The Setters bullpen was brilliant as Brown and Frank Luongo (West Harrison, NY/Harrison) (West Harrison, NY/Harrison) combined for 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Sciarretta.

For Pace, Sciarretta (2-0) went 6 1/3 innings, allowing two unearned runs on four hits, while striking out two. Brown tossed 1 1/3 innings, allowing three hits, while Luongo retired all four batters he faced to pick up his team leading third save of the season.
