FELICIAN, PACE POST FIRST DAY WINS IN PACE HOLIDAY CLASSIC
FELICIAN DEFEATS ASSUMPTION IN OT;
LOSEY TIES CAREER-HIGH WITH 27 POINTS IN SETTER VICTORY 

GAME 1- FELICIAN 67, ASSUMPTION 64 (OT)

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Golden Falcons of Felician College defeated the Greyhounds of Assumption College 67-64 in overtime to kick off the Pace University Holiday Classic. The Golden Falcons improve to 6-2 on the season, while the Greyhounds fall to 7-3 overall.

For Assumption, Kelly Meredith led the Greyhounds with 20 points and eight boards, on 9-for-15 shooting. Gabrielle Gibson came off the bench to total 13 points and four boards, while Kayla Parker netted 11 points and seven caroms.

For Felician, Janelle Biamonte led all scorers with 23 points, while grabbing five rebounds. Tierra Cleaves chipped in with 15 points, five boards, five assists and seven steals. Quay Baskerville finished with 11 points and a team-best eight rebounds.

GAME 2- PACE 64, BLOOMFIELD 45

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Setters of Pace University won their seventh in a row in a 64-45 victory over the Deacons of Bloomfield College in Day 1 of the Pace University Holiday Classic. The Setters improve to 8-2 overall, while the Deacons fall to 2-6 on the season.

For Pace, Taylor Losey (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) tied a career-high with 27 points to lead all scorers in the game. Losey shot 10-for-15 from the field and 3-for-6 from long range along with two blocks. Maral Javadifar (Flushing, NY/Mary Louis Academy) finished with eight points, nine rebounds along with three assists. Lauren Mooney (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) dished out a game-high eight assists in the winning effort.

For Bloomfield, Nichole Hawkins led the Deacons with 14 points and six rebounds, while Milani Malik totaled 10 points and four boards. Emily Horrocks finished with eight points and five caroms.  

Day Two of the Pace University Holiday Classic concludes on Tuesday, December 29 as Assumption will play Bloomfield at 2:00 pm, while the Setters will take on Felician at 6:00 pm at the Goldstein Fitness Center on Pace's Pleasantville campus.
