ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Pace University women's cross country team opened its 2026 season at the Fred Pavlich Invitational, finishing ninth in the 11-team field. The Setters posted a team score of 252 and a combined time of 2:15:25 over the 5K course. Vassar captured the team title with 19 points, followed by Union and RPI.
In her first meet with the Setters, Nikki Chandler led the way in her collegiate debut, crossing the finish line in 24:07.9 to place 44th overall and 35th among scoring runners.
Inara Coles was the second Setter across the line, finishing in 26:37.0, while Alexandra Harrison followed with a time of 27:30.9. Freshman Mercedes Rodriguez recorded a 28:03.7 in her first collegiate race, and fellow freshman Addison Martinez rounded out Pace's five scoring runners at 29:06.6.
Madison Picerno finished in 29:39.0, followed by Sophie D'Orazio-Lelli at 30:43.4 and Sidnee Foushee at 34:32.0 to complete Pace's finishers.
The season-opening meet provided the Setters with their first competitive 5K of the fall as Pace begins its 2026 campaign.
