PLESANTVILLE, N.Y. – One of the most dominant softball pitchers in the nation this season, Gisselle Garcia, has officially finished the 2025 campaign as the NCAA Division II statistical leader in both earned run average (ERA) and total strikeouts. The senior right-hander capped off a remarkable year with a minuscule 0.73 ERA and a staggering 400 strikeouts, leading all Division II players in both categories.

Garcia's brilliance in the circle was a key piece of a historic campaign for the Setters, who as a team led the entire nation in ERA. With a combined staff ERA of 1.20, Pace Softball posted the best mark in NCAA Division II, showcasing exceptional consistency throughout the season.

A two-time All-American, Garcia delivered several signature performances this spring, including five no-hitters, multiple double-digit strikeout games, and a stretch of 80.1 consecutive scoreless innings. Her ability to dominate in high-pressure moments helped elevate Pace to one of its best pitching seasons in program history. With her otherworldly campaign, Garcia became the first Setter to lead the country in both ERA and strikeouts while also claiming the Northeast 10 Conference strikeout title.

In a year filled with accolades and milestones, Pace Softball exceeded expectations, setting a new program standard for excellence. With their deep squad and positive culture, the Setters are poised to carry their elite form into future seasons as they continue to build on the foundation of 2025's unforgettable success.
