Stabile and Company Earns ATEC/NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year

LOUISVILLE, KY. On Friday afternoon, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), in partnership with ATEC, officially announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA Division II Regional Coaching Staffs of the Year. Representing the East Region, the Pace University softball coaching staff was honored for the first time in program history.

Led by long-time Head Coach Claudia Stabile (44th season), alongside Assistant Coaches John Elliott, Brealand Edwards, and Student Assistant Carolina Iturriaga, the Setters' coaching staff guided the team through a record-breaking season that redefined the standard of excellence for Pace Softball.

The 2025 campaign featured a series of historic milestones, including Pace's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship, an NCAA East Regional title, and the program's second Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The Setters also established new program records for total wins (46), consecutive wins (27), and an undefeated conference record (20–0).

This recognition from the NFCA reflects the outstanding leadership and impact of Coach Stabile and her staff, both on and off the field. Their efforts have helped cultivate a championship-caliber culture at the highest level of Division II softball.

Pace Softball continues its postseason journey on Saturday in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship, facing #7 Shippensburg University in an elimination game. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Frost Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn.
