13 Setters Score as #4 Pace Cruise Past Ravens

PLEASANTVILLE, NY - #4 Pace Men's Lacrosse continues to dominate on their home turf of Northwell Stadium as they posted a 19-3 victory over Franklin Pierce Tuesday afternoon.

The Blue and Gold featured 13 different goal scorers throughout the day and the Setters improve to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Northeast-10 (NE10)

Here's What Happened:
  • Declan Landers got the Setters going from the jump and the squad recorded four more until the Ravens put themselves on the board, 5-1. Landers caged the final goal of the first quarter with the Setters holding a 6-1 lead after 15-minutes.
  • Pace held their opponents to nil in the second while they went on to display their largest scoring stanza of the day. Caden Hallinan, Jackson Bulger, Nick Naccarato,Colin Reese, Preston Kral, Daniel Zabbia, and Matt Baldino each found the back of the net for the 13-1 advantage at the half.
  • During the second half, both teams remained scoreless until a little after the nine minute mark when Bryce Wylie beamed the ball behind the Ravens keeper, 14-1. Franklin Pierce recorded their second goal of the contest in the third quarter and entered the final quarter trailing, 16-2.
  • With three more Setter points and one more from the Ravens, Pace secured the 19-3 win.

Box Score Insights:
  • Landers, Zabbia, Hallinan, Naccarato, and Bulger recorded two goals apiece to pace the squad to the conference victory.
  • Wylie tallied five points on a goal and four assists while posting three caused turnovers and three ground balls.
  • Dennis Hodge-Boccanfuso went 11-12 (92%) in face offs and picked up nine ground balls.
  • Jack Kern tallied the win with four saves and the goalkeeping crew of the Blue and Goals raked in a collective 11 saves throughout: Jimmy Caputo, JJ Quill, and Hunter Willcox with two and Vincent Marchese with one.
