PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – A pair of second half tallies and a composed defensive effort carried Pace University Men's Soccer to a 2–0 victory over Thomas Jefferson University on Tuesday night at Northwell Stadium. With the win, the Setters move to 4-5-2 overall
The opening half featured plenty of action but no goals, as Pace controlled possession and out shot Jefferson 8–5. Thomas Lyden and Mike Hernandez each tested the keeper early, while goalkeeper Khais Milligan kept the visitors off the board with four strong saves to send the match into halftime scoreless.
The Setters finally broke through in the 66th minute when Daniel Santos tucked away the opener to put Pace ahead 1–0. Just four minutes later, Derrick Henry doubled the lead, slotting home after a setup from Pietro Carvalho to give the Setters breathing room. From there, Pace's back line anchored by Edward Vargas and Ben Dunkerley shut down Jefferson's attack, while Milligan finished with six saves for his second shutout of the year.
Jefferson was reduced to 10 men following a late red card, and the Setters comfortably closed out the win. By the final whistle, Pace held a 15–10 advantage in shots and an 8–6 edge in shots on goal..
