Pace Athletics Weekly Preview I Jan. 27

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace Athletics prepares for the turning of the calendar with February just around the corner. In the final week of January, men's and women's basketball returns to their home court as only in-conference games remain on the regular season schedule.

Women's basketball (11-9) vs No. 25 Southern Connecticut State University (15-4) Tuesday 5:30 p.m.
Kicking off the week, women's basketball continues their 2024-25 season with a Northeast-10 contest against Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). In the last meeting with SCSU on Jan. 2, 2025, the Setters fell on the road, 72-47. So far in January, the Blue and Gold have found their stride with a 5-3 record. Pace tips off against the 25th-ranked Owls on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Goldstein Fitness Center. No. 21 Men's basketball (17-3) vs Southern Connecticut State University (10-8) Tuesday 7:30 p.m.
Coming off back-to-back wins, No. 21 men's basketball faces Southern Connecticut State University for an in-conference battle Tuesday night. In their last contest versus the Owls, Pace handled business on the road, 91-58. With only in-conference games remaining on the schedule, Pace looks to keep its momentum on the court. The opening tip-off between the Setters and Owls is set for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. from the Goldstein Fitness Center. Alongside the women's game, the match-up will celebrate Pride Hoops Night. Women's basketball (11-9) vs Southern New Hampshire University (8-9) Saturday 1:30 p.m.
Moving towards the weekend, women's basketball meets Southern New Hampshire University in Pleasantville, N.Y. on Saturday. The last time out against the Penmen on Jan. 5, 2025, Pace fell, 55-54. Hoping to redeem their close loss from earlier in the month the Setters tip-off on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The contest will highlight the Pace Goes Pink and Coaches vs. Cancer event from the Goldstein Fitness Center. No. 21 Men's basketball (17-3) vs Southern New Hampshire University (11-6) Saturday 3:30 p.m.
Following the women's basketball game, the men's squad faces Southern New Hampshire University at home. The last meeting between these two squads ended with a Pace loss away from their home court, 64-62. Looking to even up the season series against the Penmen, Pace tips off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
