12 Setters Honored as NE10 Academic All-Conference Selections

MANSFIELD, MA – The Northeast-10 Conference released its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2024 spring season, as the league recognized 135 student-athletes from 10 sports for their excellence in both academic and athletic settings. Out of the 135 athletes honored, 12 individuals from Pace were selected. 

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor. 

  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale. 

All 12 NE10 institutions had at least one student-athlete selected to the Academic All-Conference teams. For a full list of honorees, please CLICK HERE.

Adelphi had a league-high 19 selections, while Franklin Pierce was a close second with 18 honorees. Nine different NE10 institutions had a double-digit number of selections, including Southern New Hampshire with 15, Bentley with 13, and New Haven with 13 to round out the top five.  

Women's lacrosse led all spring sports with 24 student-athletes honored, while women's outdoor track & field had 21 and men's outdoor track & field had 20. Baseball and softball each had 18, respectively. 
 

WOMEN'S LACROSSE 

Angelina Porcello (East Chester, N.Y.), Senior, Midfield 

  • 3.70 cumulative GPA; Mathematics; CSC Academic All-District 

  • WLCA Player of the Year; IWLCA Midfielder of the Year; WLCA First Team All-American; USA Lacrosse Magazine First Team All-American; IWLCA Senior All-Star; First Team All-Region 

  • NE10 Midfielder of the Year; First Team All-NE10... NE10 All-Tournament Team; NE10 Tournament MVP 

  • Led the team with 70 goals, 47 assists, 117 points, 79 ground balls, and 107 draws; Recorded at least one point in every game while scoring a goal in every game but one 

  • Became Pace women's lacrosse all-time leader in total career points (284 points) 

Alexandra Quinn (Eastport, N.Y.), Senior, Defense 

  • 3.66 cumulative GPA; Finance; CSC Academic All-District 

  • WLCA Defender of the Year; IWLCA First Team All-American; USA Lacrosse Magazine First Team All-American; IWLCA First Team All-Region; IWLCA Senior All-Star 

  • NE10 Defender of the Year; First Team All-NE10 

  • Scored three goals, tallied four assists, picked up 40 ground balls, caused 43 turnovers, and secured 86 draws 

Delilah Doyle (West Babylon, N.Y.), Graduate Student, Defense 

  • 4.00 graduate GPA; 3.72 cumulative GPA; Childhood Education; CSC Academic All-District 

  • IWLCA Second Team All-American; USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-American; IWLCA First Team All-Region 

  • First Team All-NE10 

  • Scored one goal, assisted on a pair of goals, picked up 42 ground balls, and caused 43 turnovers 

Samantha Tanguay (Baldwinsville, N.Y.), Sophomore, Goalkeeper 

  • 3.96 cumulative GPA; Childhood Education; CSC Academic All-District 

  • IWLCA Second Team All-American; USA Lacrosse Magazine Second Team All-American; First Team IWLCA All-Region 

  • NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year; First Team All-NE10; NE10 Elite 24 Award recipient 

  • Finished with a record of 20-1 with 1042 minutes in net...Finished with a GAA of 8.17 and a save percentage of .476 on 129 saves 

SOFTBALL 

Gisselle Garcia (Lemon Grove, CA), Junior, Pitcher 

  • 3.67 cumulative GPA; Criminal Justice; CSC Academic All-District 

  • Selected as first NFCA All-American in program history earning third-team honors; NFCA All-Region First Team; D2CCA All-East Region First Team 

  • NE10 Pitcher of the Year; NE10 First Team; NE10 Pitcher of the Week (5X) 

  • Broke the all-time Pace softball record for total career strikeouts 

  • Had a 20-5 record in the circle with 260 strikeouts; Pitched five no-hitters, 19 complete games, and 10 shutouts, posting a 1.10 ERA in 165.0 innings 

Brianna Shea (Oceanside, CA), Junior, Infielder 

  • 3.78 cumulative GPA; Applied Psychology and Human Relations; CSC Academic All-District 

  • D2CCA All-East Region First Team; NFCA All-Region First Team 

  • First Team All-NE10; Earned NCAA DII 50th Anniversary Scholarship 

  • Led team in batting average (.377), slugging (.608), RBIs (35), total bases (79), home runs (5), and OPS (1.073); Batted .377/.465/.608 with 29 runs scored 

BASEBALL 

Anthony Labita (North Massapequa), Senior, Infielder 

  • 3.50 cumulative GPA; Public Accounting 

  • All-NE10 Third Team; NE10 All-Defensive Team 

  • Batted .299/.389/.494 with a team-high 36 runs and 33 RBIs; Totaled 52 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, and a team-best five home runs 

Marco Siracusa (Kinnelon, N.J.), Graduate Student, Pitcher 

  • 3.88 cumulative GPA; Health Science 

  • All-NE10 Third Team 

  • Recorded two saves with a 3.33 ERA, 1.48 WHIP in 24.1 innings with 25 strikeouts 

Dan Brown (East Northport, N.Y.), Senior, Pitcher 

  • 3.47 cumulative GPA; Sports Marketing 

  • NE10 Southwest Division Pitcher of the Year; First-Team All-NE10 

  • Maintained a 2.75 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and .150 opponent batting average with 70 strikeouts in 55.2 innings 

Matthew Rinaldi (Eastchester, N.Y.), Graduate Student, Outfielder 

  • 3.74 graduate GPA; 3.67 cumulative GPA; Public Accounting 

  • Second-Team All-NE10 

  • Led team in batting average, total bases, walks, and hits... Batted .324/.400/.467 with 34 runs and 19 RBIs 

MEN'S LACROSSE 

Rafael Rodriguez Jr. (Farmingville, N.Y.), Senior, Midfield 

  • 3.77 cumulative GPA; Advertising & Integrated Marketing Communications; CSC Academic All-District 

  • USILA Second Team All-American; USILA First Team All-Region 

  • First Team All-NE10 

  • Scored 26 goals, tallied 11 assists, caused four turnovers and picked up 15 ground balls 

Daniel Zabbia (Dix Hills, N.Y.), Junior, Attack 

  • 3.91 cumulative GPA; Finance; CSC Academic All-District
