Pace earned the fourth seed in the region after a strong season, finishing with the regular season and conference tournament with a record of 12-3 overall and 7-2 in Northeast 10 play. The Setters have got it done on both sides of the ball, with graduate transfer Ryan Kemp leaving his mark in his only year in the Blue and Gold. A first team All-NE10 selection, Kemp's offensive prowess has proved invaluable to the Setters, as Kemp leads the team in goals with an even 50 goals while also being the top assist man with 28 assists. Backing up Kemp is Daniel Zabbia, who has deposited 43 goals of his own. Rounding out the offensive attack for the Setters are Declan Landers, 27 goals and 25 assists, and Rafael Rodriguez, Jr. with 23 goals and 10 assists.

Defensively, Chris Caputo and Rowan Kelly helped make sure the ball did not reach the cage, causing 24 and 20 turnovers respectively. As for Jack Kern, he has stopped 143 shots, giving him a .505 save percentage. He owns a goals-against-average of 9.70.

Mercyhurst arrives in Pleasantville as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) champions with a record of 13-4. The Lakers are coming off an appearance in the national championship game last year where they fell to Lenior-Rhyne University. It's a three man offensive attack for the Lakers, with Ethan Landymore, Jeremi Phoenix-Lefebvre and Colin Tardif each finishing above the 50 point mark on the season. In between the pipes, Brett Olney has been a tough one to beat, allowing 10 goals a game with a save percentage of .513.
