Zabbia and Kemp Shine as No. 11 Setters Take Down Penmen

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Behind 11 goals from Daniel Zabbia and Ryan Kemp, the No. 11 Pace University men's lacrosse team emerged on top, 18-10, over Southern New Hampshire University at Northwell Stadium on Saturday.

The Setters improved to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play and will now turn their attention to hosting Assumption University on Tuesday, April 9 for the team's 15 for Life game.

The home team hopped out to an early 3-0 lead behind two goals from Zabbia and one from Colin Reese. SNHU got on the board shortly after, but Pace's offense kicked into high gear after.

Kemp fired off the final two goals of the first quarter to take a 5-1 lead into the first quarter. The Blue and Gold would score four of the next five goals to grow the lead to 9-2 with just over six minutes remaining. SNHU chipped the lead down to 9-5 with three straight goals but a final Pace goal off the stick of Declan Landers with eight seconds left to take a 10-5 lead into halftime.

The game was put out of reach for the Penmen in the final minutes of the third quarter, Kemp Zabbia and Maxwell Streety combined for four goals to close the quarter and the run lead up to 16-9.

Zabbia finished with a season-high six goals while Kemp contributed five to go along with a pair of assists. Landers recorded five assists while scoring two goals.
